Thelma Geneva Smith

Ivie Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Thelma Geneva Smith, 80, of Commerce who passed away Sunday morning at St. Mary's Hospital. Mrs. smith was the daughter of the late George T. Wilson and the late Ettie Lord Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Smith.

Survivors include a son, Alfred (Myra) L. Smith, Jr. of Maysville and a daughter, Gloria (John W.) Boone of Jefferson, two sisters, Zelma Smith and Genelle Chandler, both of Commerce, four grandchildren , Michael (Missy) Smith, Dusty (Taryn) Smith, Benji (Jada) Boone, Brandon (Brianna) Boone, four great grandchildren also survive.

Service for Mrs. Smith will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas Duncan and Rev. Benji Boone officiating. Burial will be in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday.
