Yvonne Clements Mathis

Yvonne Clements Mathis, age 57 of Oakwood, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at her residence following an extended illness.


Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Southbend United Methodist Church with Reverend Richard Long officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 26, 2014 following the service at the church.

Mrs. Mathis was born November 10, 1956 in Comanche, Texas to the late Jerlyn Worth Clements and Mary Elizabeth Maxwell Clements. She was employed with Hanger, Inc., Prosthetics & Orthotics and was a member of Southbend United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Mathis is survived by her husband, Thurman "Gene" Mathis of Oakwood, sons & daughters-in-law, Daniel & Toni Mathis of Kennesaw and Joshua Scott & Heather Mathis of Flowery Branch, grandchildren, Phoebe, Daniel Hunter and Mia Yvette and sister, Dealua Coulter of Atlanta.
