Hazel Smith Peppers

Mrs. Hazel Smith Peppers, 85, of Buford, GA passed away on January 16, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her husband J. L. Peppers; and son Barry Peppers. She is survived by her daughter Laverne Peppers Ron, and husband Yoram, Buford, GA; grandchildren Jennifer Pirkle, Dahlonega, GA, Jeff Harris, Jefferson, GA and Amanda Peppers Smith, Flowery Branch, GA; three great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; brothers and sister in law Eugene and Edna Smith, Buford, GA and Anthony Smith, Gainesville, GA; sister Beatrice Samples, Sugar Hill, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Peppers was born July 29, 1928 in Buford, GA. She was a 1947 graduate of Sugar Hill School. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of New Hope Baptist Church in Sugar Hill.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2014 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Akins and Rev. Shannon Wingo officiating.

Interment will follow at Sugar Hill Cemetery, Sugar Hill, GA. The family will receive friends Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
