Susan Ward Jordan

Ms. Susan Ward Jordan, age 60, of Columbus, Georgia formerly of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014.


Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Dr. Bill Coates will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.


Susan was born on September 27, 1953, the daughter of Jean (Purvis) Ward and the late Henry O. Ward. She was a native of Hall County but had lived in Columbus for the past 14 years. She was a graduate of Gainesville High School. She was of the Methodist Faith. Susan will be best remembered for her beauty, smile and her great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Jordan.


Susan is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Riley Lovell of Atlanta; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Barry Dearing of Hiawassee; granddaughters, Shelby and Lexi; mother, Jean P. Ward of Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry and Jill Ward; Henry and Linda Ward and Tharpe and Judy Ward all of Gainesville.
