Obe Linton Langston Jr.,

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Obe Linton Langston Jr., age 86, of Maysville, GA, who passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013. Mr. Langston was born in Commerce, GA, a son to the late Obe Linton Langston Sr. and the late Eunice Reed Langston. Mr. Langston was a veteran of the US Navy, serving in the Pacific Fleet during WWII. Mr. Langston was a retired Delivery Route Supervisor for numerous companies and was a member of the Apple Valley Baptist Church in Commerce. Mr. Langston was preceded in death by his sons, Thomas Langston, Raymond Langston and sister, Dorothy Hawks.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Laura Belle Langston, of Maysville, daughters, Phyllis (Daryl) Paul, Friendswood, TX, Edna (Johnnie) Perkins, Pearland, TX, Christine Bray, Clarkesville, GA, sons, Lamar (Billie) Langston, Maysville, David (Kelly) Langston, Kennesaw, GA, Bruce (Lynn) Langston, Sandusky, OH, sister, Hautell Gulley, Warner Robbins, GA, 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-Grandchild.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 11AM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home. The visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
