Cora Lee Taylor Roberts

Mrs. Cora Lee Taylor Roberts, age 80, of Demorest, formerly of the Batesville Community, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 11, 2013.



Mrs. Roberts was born on August 15, 1933, in Habersham County, a daughter of the late Marvin L. Taylor and Verdena Wright Taylor. She was a retired owner of her poultry farm and was a member of Providence Baptist Church and of the Habersham Chapter #480, Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Roberts is preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Roberts; two step-children, Dianne Callenback and Michael Roberts; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.



Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Richard Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Joe Stewart; step-son, Lamar Roberts; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Allene Morrison.



The family will receive friends on Friday, September 13, 2013, form 6- 8 p.m. at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.



The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Loyd Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot of the church cemetery.



Mrs. Roberts will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. to lie in state prior to the service hour.
