Dorothy Hewatt Lewallen, 89, of Flowery Branch, formerly of Doraville, GA, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013.

Mrs. Lewallen is predeceased by her husband Vernon Lewallen, father and mother, William and Amy Hewatt, and sisters Linnie Whetestone, Ruth Summers, and Alma Wigley. She is survived by daughter Susan Major (husband Bob), granddaughter, Dawn Yardley (husband Wayne), great-grandchildren, Derek Yawn, Eddie Gattorno, and Danielle Gattorno, several nieces and a nephew. Dorothy was a member of the Dacula Church of God.

The funeral will be held in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, on South Lee Street in Buford, GA. on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Hewatt officiating. Interment will follow at North Atlanta Memorial Park, Doraville, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2013.
