David Edmond Schandel

David Edmond Schandel, age 74, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013.

He was born on November 29, 1938 in Alliance, OH. He was the son of Cornelius Michael and Irene Armstrong Schandel. He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Frances D. Schandel, Lawrenceville, GA; two sons, Brian Schandel, his wife, Traci, Bowling Green, KY and Jeff Schandel, his wife, Christine, Lawrenceville, GA; two granddaughters, Megan Schandel and Caitlin Schandel; one grandson, Anthony Schandel; sister, Margaret Coy, Carrollton, OH; a niece; and a nephew. David was a 1956 graduate of Malvern High School in Malvern, OH and in 1960 he received his Bachelor of Business and MBA from Capitol University in Columbus, OH. Following college, Dave attended Officer Candidate School while serving active duty in the U. S. Navy. He was a retired accountant from Lennox Industries and York International. He was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, GA.

A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Prospect United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Harben and Rev. Eddie Herring officiating followed by a reception in the church social hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville, Grace Arbor Congregation Respite Program, P. O.
