Ruth Beatrice Rider

Ruth Beatrice Rider, 89, of Cumming, GA died at Embracing Hospice House on October 18, 2012. Born in Oglethorpe, GA she was the daughter of the late Coile and Lillian Esco.

Ruth and her husband of 71 years, Eugene William Rider, lived in Roswell for many years before moving to Cumming. She was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed a career with Southern Mills and the City of Roswell. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by her children, James E. (Gail) Rider of Cumming, GA and Richard D. (Shirley) Rider of Cumming, GA; brothers, Clay Esco of Cumming, GA and Basil (Sylvia) Esco of Roswell, GA; grandchildren, Greg (Jenny) Rider, Kim Rider, Shelby (Ryan) Gober, Genia (Marty) Standridge and Rick (Logan) Rider all of Cumming; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 21, 2012 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Danny Bennett will officiate. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 5:00
