James Edwin Ivester

Mr. James Edwin Ivester, age 68, of Toccoa, passed away, Saturday, July 21, 2012 at his home.
Born September 17, 1943 in Franklin County, he was a son of the late Stephens Odis and Mildred Cheek Ivester.
Mr. Ivester was of the Baptist Faith and a former employee of Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta where he was head of maintenance.
Family members include, sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Connie Ivester and Stephen Ivester; daughters, Missy Payne, and Becky Ivester; grandchildren, Jamie (Heather) Ivester, Jesse Ivester, Mikel Ivester, Damion Ivester, Dravin Ivester, Kayla (Bubba) Webb, Deheira Ivester; great-granddaughters, Leiah and Kayli Ivester; a brother, Donnie Ivester; sisters, Carolyn Cannon, Sandra Buffington, Connie Purcell, and Angie Vandiver and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Ivester and a sister, Peggy Wilson.
Funeral services will be held at two o'clock on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Rev. Jewell Gaines and Rev. Ricky McFarlin officiating.
Interment will follow at Roselane Cemetery.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Buddy Segars, Harold Powell, Larry Brown, Merle Powell, Ray Roberts, Charles McLeroy, and Dale Purcell.
The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 5 until 8 pm on Monday. The family will be at the home of Connie and Dale Purcell following Tuesday's Service.
