Jack Booth Loggins

Obituary Date: Sunday, July 15, 2012

Jack Booth Loggins, age 80, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away Sunday July 15, 2012 at Bay Front Medical Center/Sun Coast Hospice in St. Petersburg, Florida following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, July 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Banister Funeral Home with interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The Rev. J.R. Fields will officiate. The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 6 PM until 9 PM and on Thursday prior to the services.

Mr. Loggins was born August 16, 1931 in Dahlonega, Georgia to the late Edward Booth Loggins and Ola Grace Ward Loggins. He was retired from Burlington Industries.

Mr. Loggins is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mollie R. Gaddy Loggins; one brother, Walter Frank Loggins and sister-in-law (Martha) of Mary Ester, Florida; his aunt, Beatrice Loggins of Dahlonega, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Helen McDonald of Dahlonega, Georgia, Eva Jane Osborne of Carnesville, Georgia, Mary Jo Reed and her husband (Wiley) of Pendergrass, Georgia; and brothers-in-law, Emmett Gaddy and his wife (Jean) and Ernes Gaddy and his wife (Betty) both of Gainesville, Georgia; daughter, Judy L. Ketchum, son Edward Booth Loggins (wife Kris) of Dahlonega, Georgia; daughter, Annette Carol Loggins (life partner Shandra) of St. Petersburg, Florida; grandson, H. Roland Ketchum, Jr., of Dahlonega, Georgia; and grand-daughters, Melissa D. Corral (husband Greg) of Gainesville, Georgia who are expecting Jack and Mollie's first great-grandchild ,Oliver Corral, in August, Kathryn M. Loggins of Scott, Louisiana; and Madison Koenek of St. Petersburg, Florida; along with a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to thank the many excellent doctors, nurses, and chaplains who took expert and loving care of Jack both physically and spiritually that lead through his final days.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation.
