James Marvin Whitmire

James Marvin Whitmire, age 81, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Minnie Whitmire and his son, Glenn Clay Whitmire.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Richard Clyde and Martha Whitmire; daughter, Dianne Whitmire all of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Deneise and Morris Sweatman of Dawsonville; daughter, Jeannie Whitmire; son, Buddy Whitmire; daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Jeff Stripland all of Cumming; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and other loving relatives.



Funeral services will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Charles "Bo" Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday, from noon until the hour of service.
