Roy Vernon Clayton

Roy Vernon Clayton, age 89, of Dacula, GA, passed away on March 28, 2012.

He is survived by his wife of 69 ½ years, Myra Clayton; Sons, Gary E. Clayton (Diane), of Groveland, FL, and Phillip D. Clayton (Diedre), of Dacula; Daughter, Barbara J. Lusk (Jerry), of Longmont, CO; 6 Grandchildren; and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Mr. Clayton was born in Cleveland, TN on November 11, 1922. He was civil servant for 33 years, a member of Mt. Paran Church Of God for 57 years, and proprietor of Clayton's Preferred Risk Insurance Agency of Stone Mountain, GA for 20 years.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 1st, 2012 at 3 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel in Buford, GA. Paul Clayton and Rev. Todd Rainwater will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home, and prior to the service from 1 to 3 PM on Sunday.
