Irene Lipscomb Nance

Mrs. Irene Lipscomb Nance, 96, passed away December 25, 2011 at New Horizons North, Gainesville, Ga. following an extended illness.

She was the daughter of the late Claude S. Lipscomb and Irene Small Lipscomb of Gainesville, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, and a daughter, Joyce Nance Bryson. She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Irene Nance Brown ( James) and Susan Nance Willoughby (Herman), both of Clermont, brother Billy M. Lipscomb ( Martha) of Gainesville, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She loved her children and her career in nursing which spanned many decades.

Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Dec. 28,2011 at 11:00 a.m. Strickland Funeral Home, Clermont. Those Wishing to remember Mrs. Nance my do so by contributing to their favorite charity.
