Loy Crafton Day

Loy Crafton Day, 79, of Cumming, GA died on December 11, 2011 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Born in Forsyth County, he was the son of the late Ed and Exie Day. His beloved wife, Joan Day; brothers, Roy and Louis Day; and father and mother-in-law, Corbet and Annie Lou Galloway also predeceased him.

Loy served in the US Navy and was employed for over 30 years at Lockheed Corporation. He was a long-time member of the Lions Club and Friendship Baptist Church.

Loy is survived by his daughters, Pam (Sam) Cole and Phyllis (Rick) Case; son, Loy (Linda) Day; grandsons, Ryan Case and Seth (Mary Beth) Cole; granddaughters, Ashley Case, Alex Day and Macy Day; great-granddaughter, Susannah Cole; sisters, Betty (Jimmy) Stone and Dot Holbrook; sisters-in-law, Martha Day and Shirley Day; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Herbert Westray; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13 from 6:00
