Ricky Smith

Ricky Smith, age 56 of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at New Horizons West Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Murrayville Congregational Holiness Church with interment to follow in the Church Cemetery. Reverend Clifford Allen, Reverend Bob Garrett and Reverend Mike Gaines will officiate. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born December 13, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Sylvia Smith and Ida Saine Smith. Ricky was a loving brother and uncle and was the center of his family. He was preceded in death by his sister & brother-in-law, Shirley & Chin Wang and his sister-in-law, Charlene Smith.

Ricky is survived by his brothers & sisters-in-laws, Billy & Juanita Smith of McDonough, Georgia and Danny & Jeanette Smith of Gainesville, brother, Jerry Smith of Gainesville, sister & brother-in-law, Betty & William Martin of Gainesville, sister-in-law, Brenda Smith, 7 nephews, 10 nieces and a number of great and great-great-nephews & nieces.
