Ruth Frances Baxter

Ruth Frances Baxter, age 89, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Baxter was born in Franklin County, Georgia, on July 14, 1921, to the late Homer and Headie Bearden Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Grady Baxter, three children, Stanley, Steve, and Terry Baxter, two sisters, and five brothers. She was a Charter Member of Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church. Mrs. Baxter was a retired employee of Carwood Manufacturing.

Survivors include daughter, Shelby Jean Hart, Cornelia, GA; one sister, Ovis Dutton, Lawrenceville, GA; four grandchildren, Dianna Roberta Howell, Sara Baxter Hardman, Tracey Baxter, and Chuck Baxter; four great-grandchildren, Susan Patricia Khadayat, Brandon Steve LB Khadayat, Mika Faith Hardman, and Makenzie Rose Howell.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Bishop Ronald Wilson, and Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
