Nancy "Marlene" Ramey Kruse Armstrong

Nancy "Marlene" Ramey Kruse Armstrong, age 47, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.

Marlene was born on June 2, 1963, in Toccoa, Georgia to the late David Augustine and Mary Ann Frady Ramey. She was also preceded in death by infant brother, Danny Ramey, niece, Sherry Ramey, and brother-in-law, Ricky Goodman. Marlene loved making Indian crafts and watching animals. She was a loving mother, nana, and sister.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Latisha and Timothy Ramey, Piedmont, SC; daughter, Ashley Brown, Jacksonville, FL; son, Rusty Wade and Brandi Hurt, Cleveland, GA; sisters, Sabrina Ramey, Alto, GA and Deborah Goodman, Homer, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Lucy Ramey, Cornelia, GA and Roger and Debbie Ramey, Hickory, NC; 7 grandchildren; and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Luther Williams & Rev. Terry Rice officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, just prior to the memorial service, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
