Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Jennifer Denise Stephens, 29, of Alto.

Mrs. Stephens died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Habersham Medical Center in Demorest.

Born Oct. 31, 1981, in DeKalb County, she was the daughter of Cheryl Lynn and Glen Albert Goerke of Cleveland and of the late John Allen Garner.

Mrs. Stephens was a loving wife and mother and had obtained her GED.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Ralph Stephens of Alto; sons, Glen Lee Garner of Alto, Bobby Austin Stephens of Alto, James Jeremiah Stephens of Alto; parents, Glen Albert and Cheryl Lynn Goerke of Cleveland; stepmother, Margo Garner of Lula; brothers, Glen Ronald Goerke of Cleveland, Ronald Bryson of Dawsonville, Christopher Scott Garner of Lula, Michael Pilgrim of Gainesville and Alex Garner of Rabun County; sisters, Tammy Marie Smith of Cleveland, Brenda Marie Grimes of Cleveland, Andrea Dawn Goerke of Cleveland and Kristie Renee Garner of Lula.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stephens will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland with the Rev. Marc Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Philippi Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 12.
