Mary Ethel Banks NeSmith

Mary Ethel Banks NeSmith of Clayton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 20, 2011.

Mary was born April 9, 1923 in Barwick, Georgia. She was the daughter of William Roy and Ettawa Jones Banks. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Frazier O'Neil NeSmith. Mary is survived by her sons Keith and Wayne and their wives Kay and Cathie. Her grandchildren are Meredith and Lauren NeSmith, Amy Dunn and her husband Tad and their son Andy, and David and Betsy NeSmith.

Mary graduated from Georgia State College for Women and worked as a home economist and teacher, retiring in 1979. She was an active member of St. James United Methodist Church in Atlanta and was a member of Clayton First United Methodist Church, upon moving to Clayton in 1998.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 1 PM until 2 PM with the service to follow in the chapel of Beck Funeral Home at 2 PM.
Family graveside services will be held in Sylvester, GA.

Memorial donations may be made to Clayton First United Methodist Church.
