James Rondel Powell

James Rondel Powell age 73 of Cleveland passed away Saturday November 7, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mr. Powell was born in Forsyth County on April 30, 1936 to the late Julian and Cora Louise Pardue Powell. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a retired construction worker.

Survivors include his son, Bruce Powell, Cleveland; daughter and son in law, Connie and Tec- Sgt Charles Cahoon, Oklahoma City; OK: sister and brother in law, Mary Alice and Emory Brock, Cleveland; grandchildren Wade Powell, Alicia Powell, Melody Brooks, Brett Brooks; great-grandchildren, Wyatt Powell, Malachi Corbin, Kaydence DelPozo.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday November 10, 2009 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Pearson Pardue and the Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Loudsville United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
