Archie Martin

Mr. Archie Martin, age 79 a native and life long resident of Forsyth County, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009 following an extended illness. He was proceeded in death by his siblings, Ellen Brannon, Eunice Gravitt, Alton Martin and Ward Martin.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Thelma Martin of Cumming; children, Debbie and Michael Stewart of Dawsonville, Rev. Jackie and Teresa Martin and Bryan and Dana Martin all of Cumming; grandchildren, Bethany Stewart Brown, Nathan Stewart, Christopher Martin, Gracen Martin, Mckinley Martin and Karly Martin; brother and sisters-in-law, Raburn and Willette Martin of Tifton, Louise Martin of Cumming; sisters and brothers-in-law, Pauline and Ed Brooks of Cumming, Willene and Jimmy Thompson of Canton and James Brannon of Jasper; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 10th at 2:00 pm in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Jackie Martin, Rev. Danny Bennett and Rev. Jerry Orr officiating. Entombment will follow at Sawnee View Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Saturday, Aug. 8th from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Sunday, Aug. 9th from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm and Monday, Aug 10th from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
