Helen Wright Chapman

Helen Wright Chapman, age 86 of Boleman Road, Gainesville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2005 at the Bell Minor Nursing Home following a period of declining health.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, August 11, 2005 at Grace Episcopal Church with burial to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The Reverend Doug Dailey will officiate. The family will receive friends
from 7-9 pm on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chapman was born in Lamar County, Texas to the late John Grant Wright and Arlin Dobbs Wright. She was a retired artist specializing in China paintings and a member of the Grace Episcopal Church. Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Chapman, Sr., a son, John Wright Chapman, and a brother, John Wright.

Mrs. Chapman is survived by her son Harry Grant Chapman, Jr., of Gainesville; grandson, John Chapman; granddaughter and husband, Cathy
and Todd Shaw, all of Gainesville; great-grandchildren, Ashley Shaw, Lindsey Shaw and Emily Shaw all of Gainesville; and her sister, Estelle Montjoy of Greenwood, Mississippi.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Grace Episcopal Church Building Fund, 422 Brenau Avenue, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
