Rev. Geneva Armour Wade

REV. GENEVA ARMOUR WADE, age 69, of Alto, GA, died Tuesday, July 04, 2006, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Wade was born in Hall County, GA on September 23, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Polly Waters Armour. She was preceded in death by her husband J.C. Wade, and a brother Perry Armour.
Mrs. Wade was the pastor of Pine Grove Holiness Church, in Alto, for 44 years. She was also a retired seamstress and a homemaker.
Survivors include; daughter, Jeanette Dodd, of Alto, and daughter and son-in-law, Annette Wade and Mitchell Cook, of Homer, sons, Dennis Wade and Larry Wade both of Alto, father, Leco Armour, of Alto, brothers, Bennie Armour and L.J. Armour, both of Alto, and Ralph Armour, of Cornelia, sisters, Imogene Wade, of Demorest, Doris Jones, of Alto, Joy Dean Martin, of Cornelia, Linda Ferguson, of Alto, and Patsy Armour, of Alto, 3 grandchildren, Cale Wade, Edena Bohannon, and Keshia Dodd, 1 great-grandchild, Alex Nicholson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, B.F. and Willette Wade, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 7, 2006, from the chapel of McGahee, Griffin, and Stewart, with Rev. Jacob Armour, Rev. David Tilson, and Rev. Lester Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in the Wade Family Cemetery, with Rev. Roger Corn officiating at the graveside.
The family will receive friends from 7-9pm on Wednesday, and 2-4 and 7-9pm Thursday, at the funeral home.
