Linda McGuire

Mrs. Linda McGuire, age 81, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024. 

Mrs. McGuire was born in Union County to the late Roy and Pauline Woody Gooch.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Wayne McGuire; daughter, Sheree McGuire; son, Steve McGuire; sisters, Paula Anderson and Judy Rochelle; and brother, Gary Gooch.  Mrs. McGuire was the former owner of Linda’s Convenience Store and was a member of Tesnatee Baptist Church.  Linda will be fondly remembered as a faithful woman who not only loved God and her family, but was faithful to the end to those whom she considered as friends.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Katrina McIntyre (Shannon), Cleveland; grandchildren, Annie Mae Schollian (Joseph), Ben McGuire, and Cara Ann Barrs (Sergey), Dakota McIntyre, and Gracie McIntyre; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy Pruitt (Gary), Flowery Branch, sister-in-law Dena Gooch, Suches; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Sunday, April 14, 2024, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. Kevin Holman and Rev. Wayne McKinney will officiate.  Interment will follow in Tesnatee Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 P.M. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the funeral home.

Flowers will be acknowledged; however, the family requests that memorial donations be made to “Mother’s Safe Haven” at 25 Terrier Drive, Cleveland, GA 30528.
