Kay Frances Davenport Cheek

Kay Frances Davenport Cheek of Gainesville, Ga passed into her final sleep on Monday, March 11, 2024.

Frances was born to the late John and Lillie Davenport. She was a member of Macedonia Congregational Church in Braselton, Ga. Frances worked for Georgia adjustment company for 35 years starting in Gainesville and then was transferred to Atlanta before retiring and moving back to Gainesville, but she did not stay retired long she began working for the Hall County Board of Education for 17 years before retiring again. Her son describes her as being the best mama a boy could ever have. She is also preceded in death by her siblings AJ Davenport, Alton Davenport and Richard Davenport.

She is survived by her son David G. Cheek; daughter-in-law Nancy R. Cheek; grandson Jonathan D. Cheek; granddaughter Holly M. Cheek and her sister Margaret Strickland.

The family will have a private service at Macedonia Congregation Church in Braselton.
