Ronnie J. Porter

Ronnie J. Porter, age 75, of Sugar Hill, GA, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Porter.  Mr. Porter is survived by his children, Dwayne E. (Amanda) Porter of Evans, GA, Beth Porter of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Isaiah Demarcus, Bailey Curry, and Sawyer Curry; mother, Imogene Porter of Buford, GA; brother, Larry Porter of Jefferson, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Mr. Porter was born February 16, 1949 in Sugar Hill, GA.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.  Ronnie was a 1967 graduate of Buford High School.  He was retired from Eastman Kodak as a film developer with 14 years of service.  He also was co-owner of a carpet business.  Mr. Porter also was the Maintenance Supervisor for an apartment complex.  He was a member of West Buford Baptist Church and Buford Church of God.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Marvin Westbrooks and Pastor Joey Grizzle officiating.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
