Doris "Louise" Aikens

Miss Doris “Louise” Aikens, 81, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Mt. View Baptist Church. Rev. Bobby Brown and Rev. Terry Poole will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on January 30, 1943 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Bannie Winters Aikens. She was retired from Wal-Mart where she was a cashier. Miss Aikens was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aikens was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold L. Aikens, Hubert L. Aikens, Nute M. Aikens, Robert J. Aikens and sister Eula Jeannette Aikens.

Miss Aikens is survived by her brother and sister in law, James Curtis and Linda Aikens of Gainesville and a number of nieces and nephews.
