Wayne Steven "Steve" Elrod

Mr. Wayne Steven “Steve” Elrod, age 67, of Commerce, GA died Monday, February 26, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center.  Mr. Elrod was born in Commerce to the late Marvin and Katie Cantrell Elrod.  He was a member of Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church and was retired from Lumite.

Mr. Elrod is survived by his wife, Angela Mae Simmons Elrod of Commerce; daughters, Christy Ayers (Trent) of Homer, Candi Jordan (Shawn) of Commerce and Felicia Jordan (Caleb) of Commerce; son, Jeremiah Elrod (Bethany) of Lula; sisters, Gayle Greene of Commerce, Vickie Cole of Athens, Janet Andrews of Athens and Angie Bradshaw of Colbert; brother, Randy Elrod of Commerce; and 7 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM, Sunday, March 3 at Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. John Graham officiating.  Interment will follow in Freedom Church of God Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 to 8 PM.
