Dennis "Big Daddy" Lamar Roper

Mr. Dennis (Big Daddy) Lamar Roper, 39, of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. interment will follow at Alta Vista Cemetery. Rev. James Jackson will officiate.

Born on November 7, 1984 in Gainesville, Ga, he was the son of the late Danny Gene Roper and Patsy Ann Roper. Along with his parents Mr. Roper is preceded in death by his father-in-law Wilburn Palmer Sr. and his brother-in-law Richard Palmer. He worked as a tire man for 129 Tire.

Mr. Roper is survived by his wife Hallie Roper of Gainesville, his daughter Annie Roper, his sister Cathy and David Cooksey of Franklin, N.C., his brother Jeremy Roper of Gainesville, his sister Julie Roper and brother-in-law Isel Constantino of Gainesville, his brother Rod Roper of Gainesville, his mother-in-law Shirley Palmer of Gainesville, his brother-in-law Wil Palmer of Gainesville, his brother-in-law John and Sarah Palmer of Buford, his Nieces and nephews; Danyelle, Ashley, Desirae, Matthew, Liza, DJ, Patrick, Ana, Joshua, Andrew, Annalynn, Addie, and Hollis, Several Aunts and uncles, great nieces and nephews and lots of Friends.
