Dean Franklin Jones

Dean Franklin Jones, age 64, of Flowery Branch, GA, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Jewel Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 37 years, Renee Rankin Jones; sons, Jason Cannon (Laura) Jones of Lawrenceville, GA, and Joshua Thomas (Caroline) Jones of Sandy Springs, GA; grandchildren, Cohen Jones and Cora Jones; brothers, Albert (Martha) Jones of Marietta, GA, B.W. (Marsha) Jones of Social Circle, GA, and Carl (Erynn) Jones of Hillsdale, VA; sisters-in-law, LeAnn (Dan) Jellinek, and Terri (Craig) Maske.

Mr. Jones was born May 29, 1959 in Columbus, IN.  He was a 1977 graduate of Lithonia High School and a 1981 graduate of the University of West Georgia College with a Bachelors’ Degree.  Mr. Jones was employed with Delta Plus, AKA ERB Industries Fame for 15 years. He was a member of Future’s Gwinnett Church in Duluth, GA.  He enjoyed playing Tennis, was an avid golfer and loved all sports. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved his family.  He was a good man and Dad and enjoyed helping others.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Pastor Nick Hindle officiating.  The family will receive friends on Friday February, 2, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
