Elaine Stephens

Elaine Stephens of Dahlonega, GA passed away peacefully Saturday January 20, 2024, in Gainesville, GA after a brief illness. She was born July 25, 1957, to Dean Carlton Stephens and Gladys Mize Stephens.

Funeral services scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday, January 23 at 2 pm at Little Davenport Chapel, the Rev. John Dell will officiate, and burial will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Family visitation is day of service from 11 am till the funeral.

She worked in the administrative offices of North Georgia Premium Outlets (Simon Property Group) and Moreno Press. She was a graduate of North Hall Class of 1975. She volunteered at Max’s Flower Shop in Murrayville. She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents, Guy Mize and Elza Whitfield Mize and her paternal grandparents, Napoleon B. “Pony” Stephens, and Flora Lee Martin Stephens and her brother, Lendal Fraser.

Survivors include her brother Randall Fraser, cousins Trisha Howard, BH Fraser, and Betty Stephens. Elaine’s special family members were Ray & Maxine Conner’s family. Elaine always considered her special sisters Kathy Conner Allison & Melinda Conner Sullens, Sheree Elliot, Terri Hulsey, and Suzan Eason. She always considered Sabrina Allison Ashley, Tom, and Andy Sullens as her special children. Elaine had no children of her own and was Nana to her special grandchildren Maxine, Mackenzie, Amos Sullens & Andrew Hinson.

Elaine was a talented and artistic person who loved decorating and flower design. She was a people person that had a host of other friends she considered family.
