In loving memory of Mrs. Mary Chisholm, age 83, of Huntington, New York, Who peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.
The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 5 PM on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Memorial Park Braselton Funeral Home
Mrs. Chisholm, born on November 12, 1940, to the late Joe Branch & Louise Rapelyea of Manhasset, New York. Mrs. Chisholm was a devoted member of Huntington Assembly of God. Her remarkable career spanned 58 years as a dietician at Northshore University Hospital, where she made lasting contributions.
Survived by her sons, Allen (Meredith) Chisholm, Mark (Jennifer) Chisholm, Kalvin (Shannon) Chisholm; 7 grandchildren (Andre, Devin, Aiyana, Aniya, Peyton, Casey, Lydia); and 1 great-grandchild Riley. Mrs. Chisholm was preceded in death by her significant other, Lawrence Solomon Chisholm, and her brother.
A celebration of Mrs. Chisholm's vibrant life will be held at Memorial Park Braselton Funeral Home, located at 5257 Green Street Hwy 53, Braselton, Georgia 30517. In honor of her multifaceted personality, Mrs. Chisholm will be remembered not only as a world traveler with a penchant for exploring diverse cultures but also as a skilled and patient fisherman, casting lines into serene waters across the globe.
Her culinary prowess as an accomplished caterer left an indelible mark, with flavors and aromas that linger in the hearts of those she served. Mrs. Chisholm's dedication as a hard worker showcased her commitment to community and service. Making a positive impact that resonated throughout her 58-year career at Northshore University Hospital. Above all, she was a genuine giver, extending kindness and warmth to everyone she encountered. The legacy of Mrs. Mary Chisholm is one of adventure, skill, dedication, and an enduring spirit of generosity.
