DeMarcus May

DeMarcus May was born on March 8, 1996 in Waukegan, IL to Nita M. May and Damen Gadson.

At an early age DeMarcus and the family relocated to Atlanta, Ga. DeMarcus was involved in youth basketball and football. He attended school and graduated from Peachtree Ridge High School in May 2014. DeMarcus went on to pursue his love and passion for music by becoming a music producer known as “Fresh”. ‘Aye Fresh What’s Next” was commonly used in his production.

He enjoyed watching sports basketball and football. His favorite teams were the Oregon Ducks, and San Francisco 49ers.

DeMarcus will be dearly missed by all who loved and cherished him. He will always have a place in our hearts, lives and wonderful memories that will live on forever.

Our beloved DeMarcus Davon May transitioned on January 11, 2024. He leaves to cherish his memory; parents, Nita M. May, and Damon Gadson of Suwanee, Ga., brother; Dominique Gadson, sister D’Amani Gadson both of Suwanee, Ga, grandparents; Robert A. May Sr, and Lauren R. May both of Waukegan, IL., Jane Gadson of North Chicago, IL., Uncle; Robert A. May Jr, (LaVita) of Stone Mountain, Ga.

DeMarcus shared a special bond with his three cousins Robert, Raven, and Harlon May. As well as a host of family and friends.

DeMarcus was preceded in death by his grandfather Levester Gadson. Great-grandparents Florine Smith, Al Smith, Carrie Mae May, and Henry May Sr.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2024 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
