Mrs. Melinda Ann Gilreath, 59, of Murrayville, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Joey Fortner, Rev. Charles Walker, Rev. Dennis Fortner and Rev. Jerry Deyton will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Monday, January 15, 2024 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Born on January 11, 1965 in Dahlonega, she was the daughter of the late James Leroy Fortner and the late Mary Louise Randolph Fortner.

Melinda Ann Gilreath was the co-founder of The Refuge Pillar of Fire. She had so much love for Jesus, her family, and anyone she met. She made it her mission to show everyone God’s Love. Melinda’s passions were spreading the word of God, singing, and spending time with her husband Jack and her family. Her unconditional love allowed her to lead countless souls to find Jesus and experience his grace.

Melinda is survived by her husband, Jack Gilreath of Murrayville; daughters and sons in law, Misty and Justin Ellis of Cleveland, Amber and Preston Wilkerson of Dahlonega; sons and daughters in law, Shane and Rachel Stephens of Murrayville, Branson and Tracy Gilreath of Gainesville; son and partner, Lane Gilreath and Michael Barnes of Gainesville; brother, Joey Fortner of Clermont, sisters, Virginia Keeley of St. Petersburg, FL, Alicia Bingham of Dahlonega; grandchildren,. Emily and Tyler Martin, Kayanna Ellis, Kevin Ellis, Christopher Melton, Journey Melton, Maryanne Wilkerson, Emilygrace Wilkerson, Johnny Wilkerson, Oaklynn Wilkerson, Malachi Stephens, Elijah Stephens, Jeremiah Stephens, Kaleb Gilreath, Marah Gilreath, Skyler Samples, Noah Gilreath, Isabella Gilreath; 5 great-grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives.
