Ronald D Young

Ronald D Young age 79, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024. Born on September 3, 1944, to the late Ned Young and Fannie Lou Young, Ron leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Shirley Young of Gainesville; son Rodney Young of Pendergrass, and daughter Shannon (Christian) Trotter of Gainesville; grandchildren Taylor (Slade) Stanley, Hannah Trotter and Ansley Trotter and great grandchild Elias Stanley.

Along with his sisters, Lanellda (JL) Allison, Sybil (Gary) Nash, Deborah (late Denny) Sullens, Laquitta (Joe) Ingram, Sheryl (Derrold) Nash, Randall (Faye) Young.

He was preceded in death by his sister Essaletta Cooper.

Numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives also mourn his passing.

Ron was a passionate outdoorsman. His love for fishing was only outweighed by his love for his granddaughters and great grandson who affectionately knew him as papa.

His love was not only profound but unconditional, leaving a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday January 15, 2:00 pm. at Mt.Vernon Baptist Church, 5233 Will Wheeler Rd. Murrayville, GA 30564.
