Nancy Carol Taylor

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Nancy Carol Taylor, age 84, of Commerce, Georgia, who passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 in Athens, Georgia. Mrs. Taylor was born in Tennessee, a daughter to the late Sherman and Hazel Austin. Mrs. Taylor had worked in the paper mills in Paw Paw, Michigan and loved to go camping with her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Taylor, her brother, Sonny Austin and her sister Betty Austin.

Survivors include her son, Cory Taylor and his wife Jackie of Lena, Mississippi; daughter, Wendy Neese and her husband Joseph of Commerce, GA; sister, Dorothy O’Sullivan and her husband Jim of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Robert Matheson, Kenny (Laura) Taylor and Chase Taylor and one great grandchild, Maiya Matheson also survives.

In accordance with Mrs. Taylor’s wishes, her remains were cremated and a private memorial service will be held on a later date by her family.
