Miss Vilma Hernandez

Miss Vilma Hernandez, 83, of Gainesville, passed away Friday. January 5, 2024 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dr. Javier Chavez will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on January 18, 1940 in San Salvador, El Salvador, she was the daughter of the late Uvaldo Marquez and the late Victorina Hernandez. She was a homemaker and a member of Amistad Cristiana.

Miss Hernandez is survived by her daughter Ellyn Marquez of Gainesville and grandsons, Christopher Marquez and Bryan Marquez both of Gainesville.
