Mr. Ricky Lee Shirley

Mr. Ricky Lee Shirley, age 61 of Toccoa, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.

A son of Judy Long Crumpton and the late Buddy Lee Shirley, he was born January 9, 1962 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all of his life.  He was employed with Coats and Clark and later with PakPro.  He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, listening to WNEG and watching the Georgia Bulldogs.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, loved his dog, Ollie and was a simple man with a rambunctious attitude.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Walls Shirley.

Survivors include his mother, Judy Long Crumpton of Toccoa; two daughters and son-in-law, Kayla and Grayson Ash of Toccoa and Kelly McFarland of Canton; brother, David Shirley of Toccoa.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, January 9, 2024, 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Curtis Long officiating.
