William Donald "Bill" Carlson

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. William Donald “Bill” Carlson, age 79, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Mr. Carlson was born in Buffalo, New York, a son to Mrs. Naomi Minor Carlson of Jefferson, GA and the late Donald William Carlson. Mr. Carlson was retired from Dunlop Tire where he was a Banbury Operator, a member St. Catherine Laboure' Catholic Church in Jefferson and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Schwab Carlson of Jefferson; children, Tracy Sadowski of Buford, GA, Dawn Giovinazzo and her husband Giorgio of Welland, Ontario Canada, Trevor William Wade Carlson of Virginia Beach, VA, Denise Carlson of Tonawanda, NY; mother, Naomi Minor Carlson of Jefferson; brother, James G. Carlson and his wife Cynthia of Bluffton, SC; grandchildren, Trevor Jr., Leif, Zachary, Aaron, Joseph, Sebastian; niece, Laura Carlson Crawn and nephew, Erik Carlson also survives.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 12 noon in the St. Catherine Laboure' Catholic Church in Jefferson with Father Paul Moreau will presiding at the Mass.

The inurnment will take place in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia on a later date.
