Thomas Daniel "Danny" Jackson

Mr. Thomas Daniel “Danny” Jackson, 74, of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2023 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Nix will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, January 6th from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on July 11, 1949 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Thearon and Freddie Nell Slaton Jackson. He was retired from Oakwood Painting where he was the owner. Mr. Jackson was of the Baptist faith. Danny was a loved man and will be missed. Bobbie Jean Mutter Jackson was a loving wife and his Best friend. They always made sure to say “I Love You”.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Mutter Jackson and brother, David Jackson.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his daughter and son in law, Amy and Lewis Grace of Athens; grandsons, Hunter Grace and Trevor Grace both of Athens; niece, Amber Edmondson; nephew, Brad Jackson; very special brother and sister in law, Bill and Sally Fasulo; favorite nieces, Christina Sims, Stephanie Smallwood and other loving relatives.
