William Richard (Rick) Chapman

Mr. William Richard (Rick) Chapman, age 74, of Lula, Georgia, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023.

Rick was born August 17, 1949 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was the son of the late William (Bill) Madison Chapman and Gwen Cagle Chapman.

Rick was a graduate of East Hall High School and attended the University of Georgia. He was the advertising director for numerous newspaper outlets in the south. He was a founding member of the Chattahoochee Corvette Club. He was a member of Lula First Baptist Church. He ordained as a deacon for Lula First Baptist and several other churches.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Locke Chapman; daughter, Caitlin Chapman; brother, Jim Chapman; sister, Abby Brewer (Don); a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Lula First Baptist Church. The Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 pm at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to Lula First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 497, Lula, Georgia 30554.
