Tony Griffith, Sr.

Tony Griffith Sr., age 56, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. He was preceded in death in 2019 by his wife of thirty-five years, Maletha Terry Griffith; father, William Harvey Griffith; and brother, Timothy Griffith.  Mr. Griffith is survived by three children, Tony Griffith, Jr of Gainesville, GA; Felecia and Lonnie Bates of Bethlehem, GA, Melissa Flanagan of Buford; mother, Margaret M. Griffith of Winder, GA; brothers, Steve (Lynn) Griffith of Winder, Jack (Sharon) Griffith of Columbus, GA, Jason Griffith of Auburn, GA; sisters, Holly (Scott) Dempsey of Rutledge, GA and Lisa Martin of Newnan, GA; seven grandchildren, Makayla Flanagan, Connor Flanagan, Christian Flanagan, Navaeh Griffith, Megan Bates, Logan Bates, and Mason Bates. Mr. Griffith was born on October 30, 1967 in Monroe, GA. He received his education at Monroe High School, and he was a carpenter. He enjoyed racing cars. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16 at the funeral home.
