Vicki Lou Grizzle Castleberry

Vicki Lou Grizzle Castleberry, 95 of Oakwood died Tuesday December 12, 2023.

Born in Hall County, Mrs. Castleberry was the daughter of the late Eugene and Hettie Jane Smith Grizzle. She was a former resident of Dekalb County for many years before moving back to Oakwood, Ga. Vicki graduated from Clairmont High School in 1945. She attended University of Georgia, Georgia State University, and Dekalb College, for a degree in business. She held a job as a professional secretary, and owned her own business Fashions by Vicki, she was an interior decorator, and a manager in Avon while her children were young.  Mrs. Castleberry founded Bosom Buddies of Georgia in 1983. She was a former member of Northwoods Presbyterian Church, now New Covenant Church in Doraville, Ga. and also was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Oakwood.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Henry Kadel, York, SC, son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Judi Collins, Calhoun, Ga., 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive, brother, Raymond Grizzle, and sister, Florene Bailey. a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Mrs. Castleberry is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Larry Castleberry, brothers, Winford Grizzle, Ray Grizzle, sister, Polly Markland.

Funeral services will be held Friday December 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Floral Hill Memory Gardens in Tucker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
