Charlotte Duncan Emmett, age 75, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Friday December 1st, 2023, following an extended illness.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 15, 2023 at Memorial Park Braselton Chapel. Pastor Dave Channell will officiate.
She was born February 6th, 1948 to the Rev. Charles C, and Regina (Russell) Duncan in Albany, GA. Charlotte graduated from the University of Georgia with both her bachelor’s and master’s in Education. She was a proud Educator in Hall County for 37 years and also was the afterschool program director at Lanier Elementary School for many years. During her career, she touched numerous lives and inspired many to achieve success. When she wasn’t teaching she was volunteering. Some of her volunteer activities at various times were, BPBC/Christ Place respite program, BPBC/Christ Place Chance2 (Care + Recovery Ministry), Relay for Life, March of Dimes, United Way-Hall County, Blackshear Place Baptist Church-Preschool Director, Blackshear Place VBS Director, Sunday School Teacher-First Baptist Gainesville, GA. Following a heart procedure, she learned about the Mended Hearts Program at NGMC. She began volunteering and never looked back. In a little over a year she had volunteered almost 1200 hours.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Emmett. She is survived by her devoted sister, Evelyn Duncan of (Gainesville) loving son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Melanie Emmett (Braselton).
Charlotte loved to laugh and always found joy making others smile. She loved many and knew she was loved in return. Out of all her accomplishments her greatest was to share the Gospel of Jesus with others. She will be greatly missed and her legacy will live on in all the lives she touched.
