Thomas Michael “Mike” Allen

Thomas Michael “Mike” Allen, age 80, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023. 

Mr. Allen was born January 22, 1943, to the late Thomas and Thelma Palmer Allen. Mike was a self-employed Insurance salesman and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was the Roy Head Legion Post Commander for 15 years and was a member of the White County Honor Guard.  For over 50+ years Mike was involved in youth sports and was the voice of The Warriors.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Allen, Teddy Allen, Warren Allen, brothers-in-law, Donnie Hammond, Edgar Smith, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Jerry Shuler. 

Survivors include his wife, Reverta Allen; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Curtis Sosebee; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Tasha Allen; grandsons, Conley Sosebee, Isaac Sosebee, Caeden Allen; brother, Tony Allen; sisters, Sandra Elder (James), Annett Brown, Miriam Hammond, Judy Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy Thomason (Leon), Jennifer Vandiver (Wayne); brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Leon Gilleland (Linda), Claude Gilleland (Dianne), Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lavenia Clark (Nick).

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Bethel Baptist Church.  The Rev. Robert Abernathy, Rev. Chris Anderson, and Rev. Dave Fortner will officiate.  Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
