Ralph B. Perry

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Ralph B. Perry, age 81 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Friday, November 24, 2023.  Mr. Perry was born one of eleven children in Jackson County, a son to the late Eugene and Ina Ivey Perry.  Mr. Perry retired as a shop manager of Gold Kist Corporation with fifty years of service.  He was a member of the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Department for twenty-nine years, with fourteen of those serving as chief.  He enjoyed time with his family and rebuilding classic cars and trucks, and was known as a trusted friend to many.

Survivors of his immediate family include his wife of fifty five years, Joan Hanson Perry of Jefferson; daughters, Melissa Perry of Jefferson, Elaine Perry Wilder and her husband C.J. Wilder of Jefferson; granddaughter, Kinsey Wilder.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 26, 2023 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Mr. Lloyd Holloway officiating.  Past and present Jefferson Firemen will be honored as Honorary Pallbearers.  The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Sunday, prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
