Mary Helen Poole Roberts

Mary Helen Poole Roberts, age 82, of Duluth, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023.  She was preceded in death by her husband, of 25 years, Larry Roberts; mother, Lucear Poole.  Mrs. Roberts is survived by her sons, Joey Lee (Jan) Boatright of Auburn, GA, and Jeffery (Keri) Boatright of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Joey Lee (Mickala) Boatright, Jr., Mary Beth (Kyle) Smith, Jordan (Arianna) Boatright, Christian (Joy) Boatright, Ethan (Caitlin) Boatright; Four great-grandchildren; brother, Rudene Poole; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Mrs. Roberts was born September, 28, 1941 in Metter, GA.  She was a 1960 graduate of Metter High School, Metter, GA.  She retired from Avon after 31 years of service.  Mrs. Roberts was Director of Duluth Co-Op, Hands of Christ, for 17 years, and served on Board of Directors for Duluth Merchants Association.  She was a member of Duluth Church of God and, in most recent years, Buford Church of God.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Tyrone Hutchison officiating.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
