Carolyn Sheriff

Carolyn Sheriff, 78, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 at her residence.

Born October 18, 1945 in Lumpkin County to the late Leon and Lena Belle Tolbert, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.  Carolyn was a homemaker who was very devoted to her family and especially enjoyed cooking for them.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Leon Sheriff, and several sisters and brothers.

Surviving are her sons and daughters in law, Stevie and Donna Sheriff, Greg and Melissa Sheriff, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Cody Sheriff, Amber Sheriff, Amanda Sheriff; great grandson, Hudson Lee Wehunt; sister, Margie Tolbert, Dahlonega; brothers, Johnny Tolbert, James Tolbert, both of Dahlonega; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home.  Rev. Brody Hughes will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4 until 8 at the funeral home.
