Walter, affectionally known as “Marlon” was born on June 14, 1972, to the late Pastor Walter & Charlie Mae Humphrey-Saboor in Cleveland, Ohio.
He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of his father and Pastor.
During his formative years, he completed his early education at St. Catherine’s Catholic School and received his high school diploma from the Bedford Heights High School in Bedford Heights, Ohio.
Upon completion of High School, after accepting his call to ministry, Walter relocated to Nashville, TN and enrolled into the American Baptist College, where he completed his education earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and Christian Education. In his spare time, he loved watching WWF Wrestling, playing video games, and all things Marvel. Additionally, he loved the peacefulness of throwing that line in the water.
In 2008, Walter was appointed Senior Pastor of the Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio where he served until July 2018. It was at this time that he and his family would relocate to the Metro-Atlanta area.
Walter was employed with the Northeast Georgia Healthcare systems. Later he gained employment with Northside Hospital of Atlanta where he was the first African American male Staff Chaplain in their history.
In March 2019, he was appointed Senior Pastor of the Beyond Words Church, affectionally known as “BWC.” While serving BWC, Walter was affirmed to the Office of the Apostle. He served BWC until his earthly departure.
